AnyPS5 GitHub
AnyPS5 on GitHub: the official repository
There is exactly one official AnyPS5 repository: github.com/boykopovar/AnyPS5. Copies can reuse the name, the description and the README, so this page shows what is in the real one, how fast it is moving, and how to tell it apart.

What is in the AnyPS5 repository
The documentation is short and precise. These are the files worth knowing about, with what each one is for. The game list and the usage guide are the two that matter most to players.
| Path | What it is for |
|---|---|
| README.md | Project summary, status badges, the legal disclaimer and the license. |
| docs/user/USAGE.md | How to run the relinker: every option, the runtime folder layout, environment variables and exit codes. |
| docs/user/COMPATIBILITY.md | The official list of tested games, with the exact setups that were used. |
| docs/user/INPUT_MAPPING.md | Controller support and the anyps5-input.ini format for keyboard and mouse bindings. |
| docs/dev/BUILD.md | Building from source on Linux and Windows, plus the relinker-only build that also works on macOS. |
| docs/dev/ARCHITECTURE.md | How a PS5 executable becomes a native program, with diagrams of the relinker and graphics path. |
| docs/dev/PROGRESS.md | How the system-library and shader percentages are counted, and what they do not mean. |
| docs/dev/TechnicalDebt.md | Known gaps, silent stubs and behaviour that has not been verified on hardware. |
| CONTRIBUTING.md | Rules for code contributions and pull requests. |
| core/ | The source code: the relinker, the system libraries (core/libs/prx) and the shader recompiler. |
| tools/ | Helper scripts, including the import audit (tools/import_audit.py) and the progress report generator. |
Outside the file tree: the Releases page holds the official builds, Discussions → Game bring-up collects per-game test reports, and the GitHub Pages progress map shows which system library functions are implemented.
Releases on GitHub
Which file do I need?
Every release contains a command-line relinker for Windows (.exe) and Linux, prebuilt system
libraries for each operating system, and copies of the compatibility and input-mapping documents. There is no
installer, no launcher and no APK.
How to tell the official repo from copies
-
Check the owner in the address bar
The URL must start with github.com/boykopovar/. A fork shows "forked from boykopovar/AnyPS5" under its name; a copy may not, and can reuse the name, description and README word for word.
-
Check the history
The official repository was created on Aug 3, 2026 and has 5,921 commits from 276 contributors. A copy made to push a download is new and thin.
-
Check what it offers
Official releases contain relinker-vX.Y.Z, relinker-vX.Y.Z.exe, prx-windows-… and prx-linux-… archives and two Markdown files. A single "AnyPS5.exe", a setup wizard, a "local zip", a password-protected archive or an APK is not official.
-
Check the hash
Compare the SHA-256 of what you downloaded with the values on our download page, which come from GitHub's own release metadata.
How to follow AnyPS5 development
Reporting a game test that helps
Test results go to Game bring-up on GitHub. A report is useful to developers when it includes:
- the game's name, title ID (for example PPSA02929) and game version;
- the AnyPS5 release or commit, and any extra pull requests or patches you applied;
- your operating system, CPU, GPU and driver version;
- the exact relinker command you ran;
- the first error printed when the game stops, and what you saw on screen before it.
Never attach or link game files, firmware or keys.
AnyPS5 GitHub questions
Is AnyPS5 on GitHub free?
Yes. AnyPS5 is open source under the GPL-2.0 license and its releases are free. Anyone asking you to pay for AnyPS5, a "premium" build or a license key is not the project.
Do I need a GitHub account to download AnyPS5?
No. Release files on the Releases page can be downloaded without signing in.
Why is there no AnyPS5 installer on GitHub?
AnyPS5 is a command-line tool. The Windows file relinker-v0.1.1.exe converts a game's executable when you run it from a terminal; it does not install anything. The system libraries come as a separate archive.
